Favorite restaurant in Willow Park! Everything I have had there is great!
This is the second time I've been to this restaurant. My first experience was the same. This is my last visit.
I have lived nearby for years but just now recently tried this place because we got a gift card here. There are plenty of options for people who don't care for seafood as much including brick oven pizzas. The food and service were excellent both times I have visited. I will definitely be coming back to try other things from the menu.
I guess we picked a bad day to try this place for the first time. 15 minutes to get drinks; then 50 minutes to get our lunch and it was stone cold! Cold biscuits and gravy aren't edible. While my waffles were lukewarm, the poached egg on top was ice cold. Manager finally came to our table after the cold food was returned to the kitchen and apologized, saying that they were shorthanded in the kitchen, and he did comp one meal but one person in our party left without eating :(. as he wasn't willing to wait another 45 minutes to have them remake his meal.
Amazing food. Great service. 1st time here. Just made it to my top 10 places to eat with family or friends.
Seafood Gumbo had no flavor, tasted like water thickened with corn starch. Defiantly not a traditional roux base. Rice was not fully cooked. Sent the order back and tried the corn and crawfish chowder. Better but still needed some work. The blacked trout was fair but lacking the bold flavor of blacked seasoning. The Chicken Piquant was dry and again no flavor in the sauce drizzled over the dish.
